Avail ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Avail scheduling application available at avail-calendar.app. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

Information We Collect

When you create an account and use Avail, we collect:

• Account information: Your name and email address, used to create and manage your account.
• Calendar data: When you connect your Google Calendar, we access your calendar events to determine your availability and create booking events on your calendar. We display availability status to members of your team or organization.
• Organization data: Information about teams and organizations you create or join within Avail.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information exclusively to provide the Avail service:

• To display your availability to other members of your team
• To sync your calendar events so availability is accurate and up-to-date
• To enable booking and scheduling features within your organization
• To send transactional emails (booking confirmations, schedule changes)

Google Calendar Data

Avail's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically:

• We request access to your Google Calendar to read your events and create bookings on your behalf (calendar.events scope).
• We use calendar data to determine and display your availability, and to create calendar events when bookings are made.
• We do not sell, share, or transfer your Google Calendar data to third parties.
• We do not use your Google Calendar data for advertising purposes.
• Calendar event details (titles, descriptions, attendees) are not displayed to other users — only busy/free status is shown.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices:

• OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest using Active Record Encryption.
• All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS.
• We use PostgreSQL hosted on Supabase with encryption at rest.
• Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you disconnect your calendar or delete your account, we delete your calendar tokens and synced event data. You can disconnect your calendar at any time from the app settings.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Avail:

• Google Calendar API: To read your calendar events and create booking events.
• Supabase: Database hosting.
• Render: Application hosting.
• Vercel: Web application hosting.
• Resend: Transactional email delivery.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Disconnect your Google Calendar at any time.
• Delete your account and all associated data.
• Request a copy of your data.

Children's Privacy

Avail is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
